14 high school students meet in the greenhouse at Open Road Park to learn 'back ground" info about processing food scraps to use in their comparative compost experiments that they are creating for their performance based assessment tasks that the school uses to evaluate students in lieu of a biology regents exam

Earth Matter Resource Recovery internship Program meets with New York Harbor School interns  2 times a week. The focus is on chicken composting, selling egg entenprenuership pilot and green person of the week campaign at the NYHS

30 volunteers from Moody's will come to our Compost Learning Center to assist with preparations for the upcoming "season". We will make a commercial worm bin to process curing  compost, harvest worm castings and produce worms for sale for worm bins and workshops
